Orbit Developments, landlord at Tytherington Business Village in Macclesfield, has completed over 20,000 sq ft of office lettings in the four months.
Medical and healthcare brands are in one of the industries that has not been negatively affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, and a number of global players in the sector have extended their footprint at the business park.
Illingworth Research took a whole building of 14,800 sq ft in Hazelwood House, Lucid Group’s HealthCare21 team doubled their space by comitting to 4,000 sq ft in Greenway House, and Willows Ingredients have also expanded into 2,200 sq ft in Elmwood Court.
Founded in Macclesfield by John Illingworth in 1998, Illingworth Research supplies a range of clinical development services to the pharmaceutical, healthcare, biotechnology and medical device industries.
Lucid Group’s HealthCare21 brand specialises in creating and delivering transformative medical communications and educational programmes for patients and healthcare professionals in both pharmaceutical and bio tech companies worldwide.
Willows Ingredients is a family-owned distributor of raw materials for the food, healthcare, sports and animal nutrition industries.
Paul McLeman, Leasing Director at Orbit Developments and colleague Benn Dickinson worked closely on the deals. Paul commented:
These lettings have been some of the most rewarding I have been involved in. It’s no secret that our industry has faced unprecedented challenges in the last six months as we have worked with existing and new customers to meet changing needs. So to see this kind of activity – 21,000 sq ft of lettings in such a short space of time – has been a very welcome boost.
“Lucid is an existing client – world-leading in its field – so they have extended their relationship with us. Illingworth Research is an amazing, global success story and a Macclesfield company so we were delighted to deliver surroundings commensurate with their remarkable progress. Willows Ingredients is another world player that has chosen Tytherington as its growing UK base.”
