Turkish Airlines has announced plans for its first direct flights from Manchester Airport to the popular holiday destinations of Antalya and Dalaman.
The Turkish carrier will begin daily flights to both resorts on the country’s Turquoise Coast, with flights to Antalya commencing on 1st April, and services to Dalaman from the following day.
Known as the ‘gateway to the Turkish Riviera’, Antalya (pictured) is characterised by its sandy sweeps of shore that are embraced by a coastline touched by jade waters. In addition it also boasts some of the best golfing attractions with Europe’s first fully lighted golf course.
In recognition of the popularity of golf in the region, Turkish Airlines will offer passengers the chance to fly a full set of clubs free of charge on its flights from Manchester Airport. Passengers will also be treated with inflight catering and a vast selection of films, music, games, and other new media content.
Osman Battal, Turkish Airlines’ Director in Manchester, said:
“With this new route, we are able to respond to our passengers’ demand. They can easily and directly reach the unique holiday destinations of Turkey.
“Whether holiday makers or golfing enthusiasts, we are keen to provide all our passengers with unforgettable times with Turkish Airlines.”
Karen Smart, Managing Director at Manchester Airport, said:
“It’s great to see Turkish Airlines announce new direct routes from Manchester Airport to two of our most popular holiday destinations in Turkey.
“With a host of airport safety measures in place since the start of the pandemic, the security of all our passengers and staff continues to be our number one priority, as we connect people across the globe.”
