
Wilmslow-headquartered gym group, Total Fitness, has seen its subscriptions hit 100,000 members as the brand continues its post-pandemic growth.
Including its Swim Academy, partners and other complementary services, Total Fitness now serves more than 115,000 people across it 15 health clubs in Northern England and North Wales. Latest financial results for the group also reveal its revenues grew 11% to just shy of £40 million in its 2022/23 financial year.
While the fitness sector as a whole has seen strong growth following the Covid-19 pandemic, Total Fitness has revealed it is seeing significant growth from members switching from competitors. Recent data from members found 54% of new members joining Total Fitness in January 2024 had come from those who previously held memberships with competitors. The group has also seen significant growth in new members switching from more premium competitors, with those looking to make cost savings up 150%.

Headquartered in Wilmslow, Cheshire, Total Fitness operates 15 health clubs across Northern England and Wales, all boasting three pools, classes, heat treatment rooms, and ladies-only gym facilities alongside standard gym floors.
