Small businesses in the North-west are being invited to take part in a day of online activities to help them take the first steps towards Net Zero carbon emissions.
The government’s Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) is holding ‘Your business journey to Net Zero’ in partnership with Local Enterprise Partnerships in the region. The event will take place virtually on Friday 19th March from 09:40-16:20 and event content is aimed at small and medium-sized businesses in the North of England.
The day’s activities will deliver tools, solutions and ideas to help small businesses plan their first steps to playing their part to combating climate change.
The next ‘Your business journey to Net Zero’ is on the 19th March with a focus on the North of England. Attendees can learn about practical solutions for small businesses wishing to embark on their own Net Zero journey; they can also consider the business opportunities stemming from the transition to a low carbon economy.
Your business journey to Net Zero will facilitate understanding of practical steps for SMEs who wish to embark on their own Net Zero journey; the event also seeks to help businesses consider the opportunities stemming from the transition to a low carbon economy. There will be multiple presentations and interaction with leaders on this subject. We are delighted to confirm that the Minister for Climate Change, Lord Callanan and the Government’s UK Net Zero Business Champion, Andrew Griffith MP, will be addressing the event.
In addition, there will be a virtual exhibition hall for delegates to find out about their Local Enterprise Partnership, along with more products and services that will be of interest to them as they look to lower their carbon emissions.
For more detail about the event and content and to register to attend, visit the BEIS’s booking site for the event.
Due to the variety and breadth of the day’s content, all sessions will be recorded so that delegates will be able to access presentations that they were unable to attend live on the day.
