The firm, which has four offices in Macclesfield, Congleton, Stockport and Chester recently moved into a prominent, extensively refurbished office in Chester, allowing more room for expansion.
Growth over the past 12 months has been across all departments. The corporate and commercial team has seen aseven per cent increase and has acted on some of the region’s highest profile deals. In April it advised Challenge Group in its acquisition of TRG Logistics which saw the two companies merge to become Challenge TRG Group with a combined turnover of £120m. The team completed 40 deals during the year.
The commercial litigation department has seen a 36 per cent growth compared to last year and residential conveyancing has also recorded double digit growth.
Over the past 12 months the firm has made four partner promotions, five senior associate and six associate promotions including the promotion of corporate partner Paul Tyrer who is now joint head of the Congleton office and COO Russell Oseman who is now joint head of the Stockport office.
There has also been significant investment in recruitment with the addition of a specialist new build property team for residential headed by Scott Mulligan. A further four-strong residential conveyancing team has been recruited in Chester. Jane Caldecott has been appointed as director of conveyancing operations and Steve Simpson has been recruited as head of business development and marketing.
