Cheshire law firm, SAS Daniels, is celebrating continued growth, with billing up 10% on the previous financial year to £9.5 million.
The firm recorded growth in all departments, most notably the corporate team which attracted record fees in a buoyant deals market. SAS Daniels has offices across the county, in Chester, Congleton, Macclesfield and Stockport.
The Cheshire law firm is also celebrating two promotions this month with Ben Thomas, who joined the firm as a solicitor in the commercial property department, being promoted to associate at the Chester office.
Meanwhile, Charlie Wood, who joined SAS Daniels as a paralegal in 2015, has been promoted to senior associate in the employment team at the Stockport office.
As well as internal promotions, five existing members of staff in the residential property team have been offered training contracts. The firm recruited 39 staff in the last financial year, including partner Nicola Deutsch in the commercial property team, further indicating the uptick in business activity.
Jeremy Orrell (pictured), chief executive officer at SAS Daniels, said:
“The past two years have certainly been challenging and our growth this year is testament to the strength of our team and the relationships we have with our clients. Whilst we have recruited significant talent from outside the firm, a large part of our strategy has always been to grow from the inside and we’ve continued to develop our service areas and nurture the talent within our team. Ben and Charlie are excellent examples of this approach.
“Since joining us as a paralegal seven years ago, Charlie has become an integral part of the employment team and his recent promotion to senior associate is well deserved.
“As our commercial property team in Chester continues to go from strength-to-strength, Ben Thomas has also become a valued asset.”
