Financial services firm, Royal London, seeking views from the public on plans for new homes on the site of its former Wilmslow campus.
The reimagining of its campus and Royal London House look to provide new homes on this brownfield site, featuring amenities, enhanced site permeability, and improved access to open space. A public consultation on initial proposals is running until Sunday 14th September, with feedback from local residents, businesses and other stakeholders in the community helping to inform the next phase of designs.
Plans for the site propose a residential-led development of 286 new built-to-rent homes, as well as landscaping, new public spaces and amenities for residents including a café, gym, parking and concierge services. The entire scheme will be professionally managed by Royal London Asset Management for the long-term.
Plans aim to make the most of the sites existing natural assets, including mature trees, green corridors and lakefront setting, while also helping to meet Cheshire East’s wider high demand for housing.
Full details of initial proposals can be found on the consultation website, where there is an online feedback form to submit comments. The project team is also holding a webinar on Wednesday 10th September from 6pm to 7pm to answer questions on the plans.
The consultation is open until Sunday 14th September. All responses will be reviewed and used to inform the next stage of the design before a planning application is submitted to Cheshire East Council.
