Macclesfield-based user experience (UX) design and development agency, Nexer Digital, has won a contract with the Department of Education (DfE) to provide User Research capabilities and support the delivery of user-centred education and social care services.
The appointment will see Nexer Digital working with the DfE to deliver digital outcomes in building and delivering user-centred services in line with the government service standard.
The £2.5 million contract started at the end of March 2021 and will run for two years. Throughout its course, Nexer Digital will support User Research capabilities on a number of projects from discovery to live service. It is anticipated that five to eight projects will be running concurrently at any one time.
In addition to supporting the projects with research capability, Nexer Digital’s team will have a role in building user research knowledge and skills within the DfE through improved opportunities for coaching and learning.
Shaun Gomm, commercial director at Nexer Digital, said:
Being awarded this contract is a great opportunity for us to continue to develop our working relationship with the Department for Education. Working collaboratively with the department over the next two years will not only benefit the UK’s teachers, parents and learners but also equip the team at the DfE with the capability to help support the department’s continued digital transformation.”
Nexer Digital has been working with the DfE to provide UX and Design services since early 2020, supporting a range of high-profile projects, including rapid Covid-response work, to deliver user-centred services in education and social care settings.
