Marks & Spencer has yesterday, 27th November, officially re-opened the doors to its Handforth Dean store following a major refurbishment project.
To mark the occasion, M&S Handforth team gathered at the store entrance at 8am with Store Manager, Lucy Grimes to unveil the brand-new look for customers.
Located in the Handforth Dean Retail Park, the newly improved M&S Handforth store features a better, fresher Foodhall with a new fresh-market feel. The new store is also home to a new-look M&S Café, offering customers table service in a super stylish space to eat, drink and relax for a great pre or post-shop pit stop.
The spacious and stylish Clothing department has also been revamped to offer shoppers plenty of style inspiration, and following the full revamp unveiled yesterday, shoppers will also be pleased to know there is more to come across the Clothing, Home & Beauty departments over the coming months.
Lucy Grimes, Store Manager at M&S Handforth said:
“Our whole team has been working really hard to deliver this fantastic new look for M&S Handforth and it’s been great to hear from customers today how much they love all the new features like our fantastic new bakery. When you visit the store, you’ll find a new spacious design across our Foodhall and Clothing, Home & Beauty department, making it the perfect place to shop your M&S favourites. We really do have the best of M&S here for everyone to enjoy with new features, such as our M&S Wine Shop and our new Cheese Barge, which are all designed to make shopping with us more enjoyable and more convenient than ever.”
The top-to-bottom transformation of the store is the latest investment that M&S has made in its stores and represents a significant investment in the region’s local economy. The store improvements come following the retailer’s recent announcement that it plans to invest c.£500 million in its store rotation programme, creating over 3400 new jobs nationwide.
