Medico-legal consultancy, Collaboras Legal, has moved its expanding team into Oakfield House on Tytherington Business Village, Macclesfield.
The team provide specialist support services to law firms’ clinical negligence and personal injury departments nationwide, with clients including leading firms such as Fieldfisher, Irwin Mitchell and JMW Solicitors. Changes in the rules governing the recovery of costs in these medico-legal cases has encouraged firms to look at consultancies such as Collaboras, who provide outsourced screening, medical records pagination and medical reporting services.
Managing Partner, Jan Thompson explained:
Our clients choose how best to work with us, either instructing us on a flexible ad hoc basis, which helps with the peaks and troughs of their workload, or to use us more regularly to provide ongoing medico-legal services in their complex cases.
“We enable busy clinical negligence teams to be more flexible and efficient thus increasing their profitability.”
The Collaboras Legal team is multi-disciplinary, including lawyers, doctors, midwives and nurses, and has grown steadily since 2010. They now occupy a 2185 sq ft office on the first floor of Oakfield House at Tytherington Business Village, based on the Silk Road, two miles from Macclesfield centre. The complex is a mixed use business and residential community within 43 acres of parkland, owned and managed by Orbit Developments.
Benn Dickinson, Leasing Surveyor at Orbit Developments commented:
We are pleased to welcome Collaboras Legal into Oakfield House. This is great office accommodation set in extensive parkland with various on-site amenities and activities, plus good transport connections to Macclesfield, and proximity to excellent road and rail services to Manchester, London and beyond. We wish Jan and her team every success in the new space.”
