Wilmslow based online womenswear brand, Sosandar, has announced it is among a number of brands entering into agreements to sell a curated collection of products through the Marks & Spencer website.
From late March, a limited range of Sosandar products will be sold on the Marks & Spencer online retail platform, with new products regularly added over the following months. The initial product offering will be limited to the womenswear brand’s denim and premium leather collections, as well as a selection of other clothing, loungewear and accessories.
The agreement with the high-street retailer expands Sosandar’s existing partnerships with John Lewis and Next that began last year and the Wilmslow-based brand was among a small number of independents to be invited to partner with Marks & Spencer. The move to begin acting as a third-party retailer for a number of other fashion brands forms part of Marks & Spencer’s strategy for growing its online presence as high-street retails, already declining in many places, has been hit hard by the pandemic lockdowns.
Ali Hall and Julie Lavington (pictured), Sosandar’s Co-CEOs commented:
We are delighted to secure a new partnership with another renowned British retailer, Marks & Spencer, to sell our womenswear collections. This is a strong endorsement of the appeal and quality of our clothing and our growing customer base. We have worked closely with M&S to curate a stunning launch collection and we are confident that our products will resonate well with the extensive M&S customer base. We are delighted to be working together and are excited to see a positive outcome for both our businesses.
“Following on from the recent success of our partnerships with John Lewis and Next, we are thrilled that another highly respected UK retailer has invited us to stock our product on their website. This milestone agreement demonstrates the ever-growing strong appeal of our offering to our target market and the potential Sosandar has to expand through third party brands.”
Neil Harrison, Director of Brands at Marks & Spencer said:
As part of our Never the Same Again programme, we’re pleased to be introducing new brands like Sosandar, giving our customers more reasons to shop online at M&S.com and turbocharging our online business. Sosandar shares our commitment to quality and stylish clothing which we know our customers love and we’re looking forward to hearing feedback on the launch collection.”
