Manchester Airport is showcasing over 700 roles with various employers based on site across positions ranging from security to hospitality.
The free event is taking place at Wythenshawe Forum today (Wednesday 6th March) and gives jobseekers the chance to speak directly with more than a dozen employers based at the airport.
Manchester Airports Group (MAG), which also operates London Stansted and East Midlands airports, is recruiting for around 270 live vacancies. Other businesses taking part in the jobs fair include Jet2.com, Menzies Aviation, Swissport, Wagamama, Costa Coffee, Boots, The Restaurant Group (TRG) and HMSHost.
The Airport Academy, which is run in partnership by Manchester Airport and Trafford & Stockport College Group, will also be in attendance at the jobs fair promoting its free pre-employment support programmes. These include fully accredited training schemes for those who are on Jobseekers’ Allowance and require additional support before applying for the jobs.
Chris Woodroofe, Manchester Airport’s Managing Director, said:
“This is an exciting time to be embarking on a career at Manchester Airport, with an epic 18 months ahead of us as we welcome a number of new airlines and destinations, overhaul and modernise our security processes, and complete the £1.3bn upgrade to our award-winning Terminal Two.
“We are proud to serve the North, and that isn’t just through connecting people with the places they want to go to, it’s also through the wider benefits we bring to people in the region, including creating hundreds more jobs as we prepare for another busy and successful summer.”
