LSH Auto UK, part of LSH International, one of the largest Mercedes-Benz dealers group worldwide, has announced the reopening of its UK dealerships, including Mercedes-Benz of Macclesfield.
The dealer group has announced its eight UK sites across the North-West and Midlands will reopen from 1st June in line with new government guidance that car showrooms can begin trading again.
Mercedes-Benz of Macclesfield, Stockport, Manchester Central, Whitefileld, Erdington, Birmingham, Solihull and Tamworth will welcome customers back into their showrooms from Monday, albeit with some social distancing measures put in place. All sites will be operating on an appointment only basis to ensure colleagues and customers can maintain a safe two-metre social distance, as well as a range of appropriate safety measures that have been introduced.
Martyn Webb, Managing Director of LSH Auto UK, said:
We are looking forward to welcoming our colleagues and customers back into our showrooms and we’re putting their safety at the heart of everything we’re doing. Our approach is to do this slowly and safely, which is why we’re offering an appointment only service at the moment.
“We also recognise that many of our customers will wish to stay at home. With that in mind, we have launched a full digital platform so that customers can browse online, book a solo test drive from their home, buy online and choose either the click and collect option or home delivery.”
While most of LSH Auto UK’s branches have been closed, during the coronavirus lockdown, including Macclesfield, Mercedes-Benz of Stockport and Erdington in the West Midlands have remained open to provide essential aftersales and servicing services for key workers, including NHS and emergency service workers. The teams also provided customer and technical assistance for Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles used for a range of customers from emergency services, to home shopping, postal and parcel deliveries, utilities and breakdown services. Martyn Webb adds:
We have an outstanding team who work together to give our customers the best care in the business. I’m proud of the way that all of our colleagues have pulled together during this difficult time.
“We’ve made the most of the time available whilst our showrooms have been temporarily closed to plan improvements to the business so that we can deliver an even better customer experience on our return.”
