Housebuilder, Bellway, has released further properties for sale on its Macclesfield development, King’s Quarter, near the town centre.
The scheme comprises a collection of two- to five-bedroom homes, within a mile of Macclesfield town centre and the homes have proved attractive to the growing number of commuters from Manchester that are being drawn to the Cheshire town. . A selection of three and four bedroom properties have just been released, including two three bedroom Cherry house types priced at £274,995 and one four bedroom Matlock house type priced at £419,995.
New homebuyers at the scheme, soon-to-be-married couple Dawn Blyth and Matt Bishop (pictured with their new home at King’s Quarter) shared their reasoning for moving out of Manchester and back to Matt’s home town of Macclesfield. Dawn said:
“We both just love Macclesfield and this development is perfect for us. So close to the town centre, yet on the edge of the Peak District allowing easy access to Macclesfield Forest and glorious open countryside and green spaces where we like to go walking.
“We’re also delighted with the house. Lockdown has meant spending a lot of time at home, but we’ve really enjoyed it, relaxing in the open plan kitchen and dining space, cooking and enjoying a glass of wine, and having the doors open onto the garden. Our last property was a traditional two bed mid terrace so this offers so much more flexible well planned living space which has enabled us to live and work from home with ease.”
The new house is also convenient for work; Dawn is a business manager and is usually based in the centre of Manchester so has the option to use the convenient rail service from Macclesfield or drive into the city centre via a number of different routes. She is often required to travel to London and Birmingham too, both of which can be easily reached from Macclesfield station. The property is well placed for Matt too, he is a development scientist and based in Staffordshire now only a short drive away.
As well as being first time buyers, the couple made their move just before England entered a second lockdown last autumn which added to their apprehension about becoming homeowners. They commented on their experience from Debbie in Bellway’s sales office at the site, saying:
Having never done anything like this before, we were apprehensive about the sales process, but thanks to Debbie it was all straightforward and stress-free. She expertly answered our many questions and kept us updated on the build and we are so grateful for her knowledge and help with the whole purchase process from start to finish.”
Dawn and Matt are now looking forward to lockdown restrictions easing and inviting friends and family over to see their new home in person and enjoy some much needed family time in their new home.
