Hospitality industry groups including Best Bar None, the Institute of Licensing, National Pubwatch and Purple Flag have announced a series of webinars to support the reopening of pubs and restaurants as Covid-19 restrictions loosen.
Webinars will feature expert speakers from the trade associations and Home Office plus licensing, environmental health, HR and recruitment professionals, hospitality training experts and operators of licensed premises. Sessions aim to help business owners to understand new regulations and discuss what reopening in a Covid-safe way may look like. Webinars will also help to refresh staff on topics such as responsible alcohol retailing and conflict management.
Bars and restaurants are expected to be permitted to reopen from 12th April in line with the Prime Minister’s roadmap for easing lockdown. Restrictions on serving alcohol only with meals and 10pm closing times will not be reintroduced. Indoor hospitality will reopen on 17th May.
