Handforth-based IntegratedAIR Systems was among the 16 businesses in the North-west to be recognised with a King’s Award for Enterprise.
The North-west saw winners named across all four categories – Promoting Opportunity, Sustainable Development, Innovation and International Trade – and this year the region produced the joint fourth most winners, along with the South West, behind the South East (24), London (20) and East Anglia (20), and was one of only three regions to be represented in all for categories of the awards.
A total of 148 businesses nationwide were given the King’s Award for Enterprise this year, the first cohort to be given the accolade since the start of the reign of King Charles III.
IntegratedAIR Systems was recognised in the International Trade category, which acknowledges small businesses for their successes in exporting products and services overseas. The 47-strong company was established in 2002 and provides engineering solutions using air movement to support manufacturing process.
Commenting on the business’ win on the IntegratedAIR Systems website, Graham Marginson, integratedAIR Managing Director, said:
“We are incredibly proud to receive this extremely prestigious award.
“Receiving this accolade affirms our commitment to providing quality solutions with innovation and good design worldwide. While navigating through Brexit and Covid, our overseas sales doubled within two years. Everyone at integratedAIR should be immensely proud of what we have accomplished.
Congratulations, and thank you to our fantastic Team. Everyone within the integratedAIR Group has had a part to play within the company’s 20-plus years of growth.”
The King’s Awards for Enterprise was previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, and the new name reflects His Majesty The King’s desire to continue the legacy of Queen Elizabeth II by recognising outstanding UK businesses. The Award programme, now in its 57th year, has recognised over 7,000 companies since its inception in 1965.
