The Runway Visitor Park at Manchester Airport is offering half term fun for the whole family with tours of Concorde and sessions at the Flight Academy.

Families looking for a unique day out this February Half Term should look no further than Manchester Airport’s Runway Visitor Park.
Located at the end of Manchester Airport’s two runways, the park gives visitors unrivalled views across the airfield as they watch the departures and arrivals of over 500 daily flights.
The Runway Visitor Park offers tours of retired aircraft including the iconic British Airways Concorde and the RAF Nimrod. For those not touring aircraft or plane spotting, there is also a play area, restaurant and gift shop to peruse.
Monday Madness
Monday Madness is back for the February Half Term Holidays with short tours of the iconic Concorde G-BOAC for just £5pp on the 11th and 18th February.
It’s the perfect way to keep the little ones entertained, giving visitors the opportunity to sit in the seats where royalty and celebrities once sat whilst hearing about how it was to fly on the supersonic aircraft. The short tour lasts 20 minutes, making it perfect for families to enjoy together.
For those booking the short tour, car parking is just £2 all day.
Flight Academy
Children from 4-12 years old are being given the exciting opportunity to join the Runway Visitor Park’s Flight Academy during the holidays.
They will have the opportunity to board a real aircraft, whilst learning about the different job roles that help ensure that Manchester Airport runs smoothly 365 days of the year. They can try their hand at being a pilot, cabin crew or air traffic controller in a fun role play session before going outside to spot the job roles in action on the runway.
The Flight Academy costs £7pp and lasts for 1 hour and 30 minutes. When booking choose from age 4-7 or 8-12.

About the Runway Visitor Park
Over a quarter of a million people visit the Runway Visitor Park every year. It is home to five retired aircraft; the Concorde G-BOAC, RAF Nimrod, the DC-10, Trident and the AVRO RJX. Charges apply to aircraft tours.
Entrance to the park is free, although standard vehicle charges apply.
The park is open from 8am-4pm from November through to February, from 8am-6pm March through to May, from 8am-8pm June through to August, and 8am-6pm in September and October.
