With the World Cup set to clash with Christmas Party Plans this year, Wilmslow based events agency, Make Events suggest embracing the clash.
As England basks in football festivities following the phenomenal success of the Lionesses at Euro 2022, Make Events, the female founded full service events agency is turning its attention to Christmas parties this year.
With the World Cup 2022, hosted by Qatar, set to begin on November 21st and continue until December 18th, key England games are scheduled on evenings when Christmas parties across the country would usually be taking place.
The team at Make Events say let’s embrace the football fever set to take over the nation when planning Christmas parties this year.
Joel Bennett, Head of Operations at Make Events commented:
“At Make Events we are ready and excited for imminent World Cup fever but know that it must be a worry for those planning Christmas parties. Consider creating spaces and areas for those who wish to watch the game and ensuring there’s separate audio for those who wish to hear the commentary too as there’s nothing worse than watching football on mute!”
“The football won’t be for everyone, some guests won’t be interested so by having slightly separate areas you can keep all guests happy. Should England reach the final stages though, be prepared for more and more guests to join in with the football hysteria!”
The team at Make Events advise looking at venues that have multiple areas linked together so that football fans can watch the games but not feel segregated from the rest of the party. Screening the football in adjoining reception rooms is a good idea but do consider showing the games in the main room should England reach the quarter, semi and hopefully the finals. Bennett added:
“My last piece of advice is to keep some bottles of Champagne on hand – we have high hopes for team England this year and hopefully will get to crack open a few bottles should we do well!”
