The Wooden Spoon Manchester & Cheshire will host a celebrity charity cricket match in aid of Stockport charity, Seashell, on 20th June.
Taking place at Toft Cricket Club in Knutsford, funds raised from the event will help fund a sensory room within Seashell’s new college building, the Ged Mason Building, at its campus in Cheadle Hulme. Construction on the site began in 2024 and facilities are expected to open in 2026.
Based in Cheadle Hulme, the charity supports young people with the most complex disabilities in the country. It offers a specialist school, college and residential homes, as well as a range of health and support services. Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby, and previously funded Seashell’s original family flat at its campus.
With celebrity guests still to be announced, the cricket match will start at 4.30pm; however, the day’s proceedings will get underway from noon and also include:
- Champagne Reception from 12 noon
- Three course lunch from 1pm
- Charity Auction with fabulous and exclusive prizes
- Watch the British & Irish Lions v Argentina live on the big screen.
Tickets are priced at £85 per person, or £750 for a table of 10. For further information and to book to attend, visit the event’s Ticket Tailor page.
