Macclesfield and Manchester based car finance marketplace, Zuto, has announced it has become a certified B Corp, recognising the business’ efforts to be a ‘force for good.’
Zuto joins over 4,000 Certified B Corporations around the world, including sustainable clothing label, Patagonia, and smoothie and drinks brand, Innocent.
The certification follows a period of exceptional growth for the business, which expanded its premises to a new Manchester city centre location in 2020, and is currently achieving 50% year-on-year revenue growth. Becoming a certified B Corp aligns with Zuto’s wider mission to change the car finance sector, and bring greater transparency to lending.
Alongside changing the industry for the better, Zuto is also fostering a culture of equality and sustainability, as well as supporting local community groups through its Make A Difference Fund.
James Wilkinson, CEO at Zuto said:
“Becoming a B Corp is the single proudest thing that has happened at Zuto. We are honoured to join the growing number of businesses that acknowledge a higher purpose, beyond just growth and profitability. Since the very start of our journey, we have been on a mission to change things for the better – not only for our customers, but also for our local community, our Zutonites, and the planet.”
Alongside the announcement, Zuto has revealed it plans to recruit a further 150 new team members across the business to help achieve its vision. James Wilkinson added:
“This [B Corp certification] comes at an exciting time for us as a business, as we go through a period of exponential growth and remain laser focussed on turning our purpose into a reality. We are expanding our Manchester headquarters and are on the lookout for like-minded individuals and people looking to make a real difference.”
