Bioanalysis specialist, Alderley Analytical, has relocated to a new facility on Orbit Developments’ growing life sciences community at Tytherington Business Village in Macclesfield.
The firm, previously located at Alderley Park, has signed a ten-year agreement for the entire 16,039 sq ft of Alderley Court at the business park. The new premises will host state-of-the-art analytical labs, designed to a bespoke specification, and will double the bioanalysis specialist’s previous footprint.
First founded in 2014, Alderley Analytical has experienced strong growth since its launch, and the new location on Tytherington Business Village will facilitate further expansion. The business joins a growing number of life science companies taking up space at Orbit Developments’ Macclesfield business hub, including Peak Proteins, Illingworth and Lucid Group.
Paul Holme Chief Executive officer / Co-Founder – Alderley Analytical commented:
“Our new building in Tytherington provides us with the expansion space we needed as part of our business growth and the opportunity to completely design our Lab space and indeed all other workspace areas exactly to our requirements. We consulted our staff on the location prior to moving and there was an overwhelmingly positive response to the re-location which made the decision all the easier.”
Dean Richards, Leasing Director at Orbit Developments said:
“We’re delighted that Alderley Analytical decided to relocate to our growing life science hub here in Tytherington. Our buildings offer a range of physical features which make them suitable for lab operations, and we are aware that all life science requirements will vary hugely for each company through our working relationships. That’s why we are so pleased that we could work with Alderley Analytical to design their lab and office space in a bespoke way, with construction completed by Jones Contracts Ltd, so that all their operational needs could be met. There’s so much potential at Tytherington Business Village and we’re excited to see how it is going to continue to grow.”
Sitting within Cheshire East, one of the UK’s leading hubs for science businesses, Tytherington Business Village is ideally located just off the A523 Silk Road, close to Macclesfield Town Centre and railway station with easy access to all major motorways and Manchester Airport, and 15 major universities all within a hour’s drive.
