Housebuilder Bellway has reopened the sales offices at a number of its new build developments across Cheshire, following closures due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Following the government’s announcement that construction and sale of homes can resume, Bellway has reopened its sales offices and showhomes. Cheshire developments reopening include the King’s Quarter development in Macclesfield (where enquiries will also be taken about Waterways 1831), and Heatherley Wood (pictured) at Alderley Park near Alderley Edge.
Visits to Bellway sites will be strictly by appointment only and new policies and procedures have been put in place to protect staff, tradespeople and potential purchasers. Bellway have installed new screens, and encouraging the wearing of face masks and gloves, regular hand-washing and use of anti-bacterial hand gel on arrival and departure of developments.
To enable people on site to maintain a safe two-metre distance, there will be limits on the numbers of people allowed into Bellway’s sales offices and show homes at any one time. Signage on the developments has also been updated to communicate the new policies clearly, and sales teams have undertaken detailed training to ensure everything is understood and can be implemented at a local level.
Sales manager Lynne Duxbury commented:
We are delighted to be back on site at many of our developments and look forward to welcoming the many homebuyers who have been in touch with us virtually and over the phone while we have been closed. At the moment, we are operating an appointment only system with only one client or family at a time. An incredible amount of preparation has gone into ensuring all developments meet Government guidelines for safe reopening and we are confident that this will soon become an easy new way of working.”
