Home-use beauty technology group, The Beauty Tech Group, is to triple the size of its headquarters at the Alderley Park life sciences and technology campus.
The business will increase its footprint within Glasshouse from 5,000 sq ft to over 16,000 sq ft, providing space for up to 200 staff. The expansion follows four years of growth driven by the success of the CurrentBody Skin LED mask, as well as its recent acquisition of Tria Laser and ZIIP.
The Beauty Tech Group will move into a newly refurbished, open-plan workspace designed to flex and evolve alongside the business.
Laurence Newman, CEO of The Beauty Tech Group, said:
“As an industry leader in home-use beauty technology, it is important that our headquarters reflects our cutting edge products backed by science. Since moving to Glasshouse at Alderley Park in 2021, the group has continued to develop and it was an easy decision to find a larger space for our growing teams. Whilst we are a truly international business with offices in the US and China, Glasshouse at Alderley Park is our HQ and I am delighted to be committing to the future here.”
Alderley Park is the North-west’s leading innovation, tech and science campus, owned and operated by Bruntwood SciTech, a joint venture between Bruntwood, L&G and Greater Manchester Pension Fund.
By taking on a larger space at Alderley Park, The Beauty Tech Group remains at the heart of a thriving high-growth innovation ecosystem at Glasshouse, located alongside Airship, Lokulus and Beckhoff, all of which have also recently scaled their operations at the site.
As part of the Bruntwood SciTech national network, the beauty technology firm is able to access their 1,100 business community and dedicated growth support including access to talent through their university and alternative training provider partnerships.
Sam Birtwistle, Senior Commercial Manager, Bruntwood SciTech, said:
“The Beauty Tech Group’s growth at Alderley Park is a great example of what providing a supportive, collaborative ecosystem can do for scaling innovative businesses. The campus offers a home for companies of all sizes and sectors with bold ambitions across its 1 million sq ft of workspace, with the infrastructure and support to help them meet their goals.
“Our ability to flex and adapt to meet TBTG’s needs over the years has meant its North West headquarters have remained at the heart of the business. As it grows its presence at Glasshouse, we’re excited to see the next chapter in their success story, and their continued impact within our community.”
