Please can you let us know if you will be joining us for our next Marketing WAM meeting.
WHEN: Wednesday 21st April 2021 TIME: 8.45am – 10.00am Zoom link : https://us02web.zoom.us/j/9367537725 Passcode 615567
At the end of last year the UK left the EU with a deal containing new rules for how we will live, work and trade together. The hotly debated UK-EU Trade and Co-operation Agreement.

Our April meeting is all about the effect of that deal on locally-based businesses.
- First up will be Simon Spurrell, Group CEO of iTG Group Limited, who owns The Cheshire Cheese Company in Macclesfield, the Hartington Creamery in Derbyshire as well as a classic car restoration business in Hungary. He has plenty to say on the immediate and total loss of direct access to the EU consumer market for his cheese business – some 466 million consumers! He will also be talking – on a brighter note – about how they have recently delivered their first cheese export to Canada.
- Anita Cawley, Chief Governance Officer and Co-founder of Aptus Clinical, based on Alderley Park, will then talk about the people side of regulatory changes. Aptus Clinical is a specialist UK-based Clinical Contract Research Organisation, with decades of experience in delivering complex trial of new therapies, and employs people all over Europe.
- Eve Lakin, a corporate and commercial lawyer at Poole Alcock in Wilmslow, will be back to take a quick look at the broad impact of the new agreement as it relates to both products and people.
Plus we have all the usual news and member updates from us.
RSVP: Jan.cowan@marketingwam.co.uk to let us know you are zooming in.
