Global scientific instruments manufacturer, LECO, has announced it will relocate its UK headquarters from Stockport to No. 11 Mereside at Alderley Park.
Along with its UK head office, the new site will also house the company’s Leco UK Training Centre, which will offer customers the opportunity to develop skills through practical training in its demo lab.
Michael Reaney, Sales Director at LECO Instruments UK, commented:
“As the Sales Director of LECO Instruments UK I’m thrilled to see the realisation of our collaborative vision with LECO Europe and LECO Corporation in establishing our new UK Headquarters and UK training centre here at Alderley Park. This move marks a milestone in our journey of innovation and growth as we embark on a new chapter of excellence, collaboration and advancement. This state-of-the-art facility at Alderley Park represents our commitment to empowering scientists, researchers and industry leaders with the tools, knowledge and support they need to drive discovery and shape the future of analytical science.”
Alderley Park, owned and operated by Bruntwood SciTech, is home to more than 250 science and technology businesses set in 400 acres of parkland. The campus is a major hub for the life science sector in the North West, with businesses on the site securing close to £50 million in R&D linked funding in 2023, including for projects relating to cancer treatment and gene editing technology.
Mark Julian, Head of Commercial for Bruntwood SciTech, said:
“It’s been an incredibly rewarding experience working with LECO to create a bespoke workspace and training facility, supporting their growth in the UK. Their bespoke demo lab, which overlooks the scenic Mere and woodland, will enable LECO to continue their high level of customer support, but also complement the thriving innovation ecosystem already in place at the Park.”
