From 31 March 2024, Singapore Airlines will return to pre-pandemic service levels on flights between Manchester Airport and Houston, Texas.
The change to a five-times weekly schedule comes as the airline partners with Scottish regional airline, Loganair. The partnership aims enable easy connections for travellers journeying via Manchester between Houston and Aberdeen, both key centres of the oil and gas industry. Loganair will dovetail into Singapore Airlines schedule, offering a seamless transfer for customers, with over 700 seats a week. The airline currently operates 21 weekly direct services from Aberdeen to Manchester, Monday-Sunday.
Mark Davey, Singapore Airlines Sales & Marketing Manager UK&I, said:
“Flights to Houston are extremely popular with our Scottish customers and we’re delighted to bring the service back to pre-pandemic levels of five-weekly flights, plus with our friends at Loganair, we now offer more choice and flexibility to customers whilst strengthening our global network.”
Luke Lovegrove, Loganair’s Chief Commercial Officer, said:
“We have a tremendous working partnership with Singapore Airlines, boosting connectivity not just at Manchester but at Heathrow too, where we now have a significant presence.
“We look forward to continuing to develop our partnership with Singapore Airlines into the future for the benefit of our customers.”
Also as part of the partnership between Singapore Airline and Loganair, customers can make a single booking to transfer from flights from Aberdeen, Isle of Man, Inverness, and Newquay, onto Singapore Airlines’ long-haul Manchester to Houston route. The agreement will also give extra protection to customers in the event of delay, and see their baggage through-checked to its final destination.
