Following a six-week closure to control the coronavirus spread, Poynton-based print and media specialists, Galloways, has reopened its doors for business.
The family business, which celebrates 150 years of trading history in 2020, has closely adhered to all the advice in recent weeks and remained closed, with staff furloughed and others working from home.
After the latest announcements, advising manufacturers to return to work, Galloways has reopened from 14th May, with a skeleton workforce to begin with to suit workload demands.
Managing Director Matt Galloway commented:
We are delighted to be opening again. We have been working behind the scenes since Sunday to put in place all the necessary hygiene and social distancing measures, so our people can return with confidence and feel safe. The message is to stay alert, abide by these measures, we know there is a long way to go.
“We will be constantly reviewing the situation and making any necessary changes as directed by the Government, but we are grateful to be back and look forward to hearing from clients, associates, partners and all our wider business family, who have been so supportive during this time.”
After being named as one of the top 15 most efficient printers worldwide by leading printer manufacturer, Heidelberg, the print firm now plans to get back to work after an unusual start to their anniversary year. Matt continues:
